Terms of Use

Effective August 24, 2026 · VerbaDraft is operated by JuiceBit LLC (Delaware, USA) — "we", "us", "VerbaDraft".

1. The service

VerbaDraft produces draft transcripts of audio and video recordings you upload, formatted to templates you provide, together with review notes. Drafts are generated by automated transcription technology operated by us and are intended to be reviewed and corrected by a qualified human before any official use.

2. Drafts, not certified transcripts

Output is provided as a working draft. We do not certify transcripts, do not guarantee word-perfect accuracy, and are not a court reporter or notary service. You are responsible for reviewing drafts and for any use you make of them, including filings, evidence, and records. Review notes indicate low-confidence passages but are not exhaustive.

3. Your recordings — your responsibility

By uploading a recording you represent and warrant that you have the legal right and authority to possess it, to submit it for transcription, and to receive a transcript of it — including, where applicable, authority under your agency's or client's policies. You must not upload material you are not authorized to handle.

4. Accounts

Accounts are approved manually. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account. We may suspend accounts used in violation of these terms.

5. Free trial, subscriptions, and billing

• Your first transcription job is free, with no payment method required.
• Further jobs require a paid subscription. Prices and included audio-hours are shown at purchase; payments are processed by Stripe.
• Subscriptions renew monthly until canceled. You can cancel anytime from your Billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.
• Fair use: included audio-hours are per calendar month and don't roll over.

6. Data handling and retention

How we handle your files — including automatic deletion 14 days after delivery — is described in our Privacy Policy and Security & Confidentiality page, which form part of these terms. Download your drafts promptly; after the retention window they are deleted and cannot be recovered.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to: upload content you lack rights to; use the service to violate any law or third-party right; probe, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the service; or resell access without our written agreement.

8. Intellectual property

You retain all rights to your recordings, templates, and the transcripts we produce from them. We retain all rights to the VerbaDraft software and service. You grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide the service.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, JuiceBit LLC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, and our total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the three (3) months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data you failed to download within the retention window.

10. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by email or in-app at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Exclusive venue lies in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
